Fisher XLS X-Pandable Snowplow

From an 8 foot retracted straight blade width to a 10 foot expanded width to a scoop width of nearly 9 feet, and a more efficent windrowing configuration, the Fisher XLS snowplow delivers a new level of profitable performance in every plowing situation. The wide scoop position simply carries more snow. Plus, the XLS blade fully angles in the scoop position to maximize handling and capacity when cornering or plowing around obstacles.

- Configure blade in a number of effective positions

        Operate each wing independently and configure the blade from an 8 ft retracted straight blade to a 10 ft. expanded width straight blade, to a 9 ft. wide scoop mode, for maximum snow carrying capacity. For the ultimate windrowing machine, angle the blade with the wings extended and angle the leading wing forward to direct snow to the moldboard.

- Scoop Mode

          The width and carrying area of the XLS plow in scoop mode delivers significantly greater snow carrying capacity.

- 70 Degree Attack Angle

         The XLS features an aggressive 70 degree attack angle that provides a cleaner scrape which reduces the need of de-icing after plowing.

- Structural Support

          The heavy-duty blade construction features 8 vertical ribs, plus 1 on each of the wings for extra strength. Hydraulic wing extensions slide laterally across the structurally reinforced slide box. The tough construction of this channel provides excellent torsional blade strength and prevents distortion under heavy loads.

- Chain Lift System

          Get instantaneous "float" when lowering the blade. Unrestricted, the blade can easily follow the contours of the plowing surface for a cleaner scrape. Stack snow higher because you're not restricted by the hydraulic ram stroke, unlike cylinder lift systems which can only push the plow up as far as the limits of the cylinder's range.

- Intensifire Lights  

       State of the art reflective optics provide a smooth, wide beam with minimal glare above the lamp, especially during snowfall. 1500 hour, long life headlamp bulb minimizes bulb replacement over the life of the lamp. Robust, two-stud mounting keeps the lamp in its original position even when subjected to the harshest shock and vibration forces.

- Minute Mount 2 System

         The simplest and most trouble-free attachment system available. 100% mechanical design means there are no electrical components or hydraulic assist gimmicks to fail. The attachment arms and lower gear are flared, both vertically and horizontally to make the drive-in connection easy.

- Trip Edge Design

           Only the bottom edge of the blade trips when an obstacle is encountered. Because the remainder of the blade stays upright plowed snow remains in front of the blade. Fisher's trip edge uses compression type springs that never need adjusting and are never stretched like expansion springs.

- Fast and Durable Hydraulics

        Fisher builds all of their hydraulics in-house for unmatched speed and reliability. Two-way poppet-style valves allow a higher volume of fluid to flow than the traditional 3 or 4-way spool valves. The hydraulic unit is inverted so constant warming from the electric motor helps maintain fluid viscosity in the resevoir. All solenoids are independently powered and grounded directly to the battery through our plow module for reliability.

- In-Cab Controls    

        The convenient hand held control with backlit directional buttons provides precise response. Individual buttons control wing and blade functions independently for simple operation.

- Bolt-On Shoe Kit - For use when the plowing surfaces are rocky and/or abrasive, extending the life of your cutting edge and base angle.

- Commercial Blade Guide Kit - Flourescent orange, 24" high, made of 3/4" nylon tubing, bolt-on in place of the original guides.

- Curb Guide Kit - Protect the outer edge of your plow from wear and tear caused by sidewalks and curbs. Simply bolt-on.

- Rubber Deflector - Made of 2-ply rubber, this deflector will help keep snow off your winshield as you plow.

- Steel Cutting Edge - These replaceable high carbon steel cutting edges decrease wear of the base angle and improve cutting power and scraping ability. 

- Plow Parka - Protect the electric and hydraulic systems.
